Pet With Chronic Breathing Distress Finally Gets Relief
This precocious Papillon was suffering from what the Vet first thought was Bronchitus, but turned out to be an unspecified allergy from something in his home.
A little known fact is that our pets health can be afffected by the same things as we humans, causing the same symptoms, requiring the same treatment-including prescriptions-as well as lifestyle changes.
This little guy was regularly in a state of distress, trying to catch his breath! Even after 3 different visits to the Vet, first receiving a potent antibiotic shot and then a course of oral tablet antibiotics with antihistamines to take, and then a steroid shot, he was still not showing any recovery!
At her wits end, his mom, Jen, remembered reading about how indoor allergens can affect pets from an ENVIROTECH email she had just received. So, as nothing else had worked, she knew there must be some allergen or pollutant in her apartment that was continually affecting her little man. So, as a renter, she selected one of ENVIROTECH's small, portable, apartment-sized air purification units, to purify their air and get rid of whatever was causing his terrible troubles!

Five Major Cruise Lines
As most know, there have been numerous press reports regarding cruise ships that have suffered outbreaks of the Norwalk Virus (norovirus), rendering hundreds of passengers ill from their voyage, causing a public relations nightmare!
As of this date, our air purification equipment has been installed on board 35 cruise ships, across seven different major cruise ship lines.
After multiple outbreaks, they realized that even their thorough "cleaning protocols" were not enough, and had our commercial air purification equipment installed on board. To our knowledge, these cruise ships have not encountered any such outbreaks since.

This is the winter home of our client, which is closed and sealed up for the summer. They wanted to be certain that in the event of a hurricane strike during the summer months, that the antique furniture, artwork, tapestries and rugs would be protected against any damage from prolonged excess humidity.
Sophisticated HVAC System Installation
The sophisticated design of the HVAC system in the home required that 5 units of two different sizes be utilized to provide proper air purification to every corner of the home.
Since the installation in June, the system has been working perfectly, according to the house management company! Another job well done!

Although it is not the case with this client's home, many other homes in Palm Beach were built in the early part of the 20th Century. They were designed by Architects whose designs prescribed the use of wooden timbers, ceilings and flooring, along with trimwork, staircases and doors. This was back before air conditioning existed, so many exterior doors and windows were customarily left open to utilize the sea breezes to cool the homes. However, doing so allowed humidity to absorb into the wood over many decades, providing the catalyst for mold and mildew to grow throughout the homes. This condition is typified by a "musty" smell, which many people wronglly attribute to an "elegance of aging", much like wine-but could not be further from the truth, in terms of health.
In fact, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), warn that ALL mold incursions be considered a threat to human health. They go on to state that unless there is some other reason, there is no need for mold testing, as both the smell and any symptoms are enough to ring the alarm bell and either rehabilitate or remediate the home.
Our system installed air purification technology, as shown above, is the only certain and permanent method of killing mold and mildew, wherever it is occuring in a home, to eliminate both the health threat and the musty odor.

I recently placed an [ENVIROTECH] air purifier in my 5th grade classroom. During the H1N1 outbreak at our school, my classroom had the lowest amount of sickness in our school. There was a 2-3 week period where classes were missing anywhere from 4-18 students. The most students I had absent during that time period was 1-3. There were a few days where my classroom was the only one in the whole school that had no one absent. The combination of constant hand washing, sanitizing of germ-filled surfaces, and the cleaning of the air from the air purifier caused my class to be least affected by the H1N1 and a few other contagious viruses that have spread throughout our school this year. I'm happy with my air purifier placement in my classroom.

We have a very fine facility and wanted to eliminate the pet odors, especially the very pungent smell that occurs when we perform laser surgery. The "cold and flu season" happens in the cold period of the year--in the northern hemisphere between October and May.
During this time people are spending more time indoors with windows and doors closed, which capture and incubate the viruses responsible for influenza.

OB/GYN Surgery Clean Room Found to be Seriously Unclean-A Breeding Ground for Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI)
The distributor's preliminary inspection of this facility revealed that it was already being served by four (4) HEPA filtration devices in conjunction with its HVAC system. Although they managed to decrease the particulate and microbial levels from those found in standard office space, ultimately they were inadequate.
The test results of the particulate count and microbial colonization taken before installation of our ActivePure(R)air purification technology equipment were unsatisfactorily high. And, the test results from after the installation were nothing short of amazing.
Specifically, a comparative analysis of these before and after installation test results, proved that our ActivePuare air purification technology equipment reduced the already lowered particulate counts by a staggering additional 51% to 99%, and reduced the incredibly dangerous microbial colonizations within the space to zero. CBS News Reports Our Air Purification Technology Reduced School's Absenteeism by 75%
Sherry Christian, a reporter for WHP-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, spoke to Shannon Murphy, director of Goddard School, a preschool and daycare in Mechanicsburg, who stated "Since owners Nancy and Ken Goss installed the [activTek] system, absenteeism from illness went down more than 75%, according to school logs; During flu season we counted maybe 25 to 30 kids out during the 3 week period last year-this year, maybe 5 to 10 were out."
She went on to say "parents and teachers say they noticed an improvement in the air quality of the air right away...it smells cleaner here."
But the tangible proof, reported Christian, was a reduction the the number of [facial] tissues bought for the school..."Normally, I buy cases of tissue at a time; this time I bought one case." And teacher, Sherrie Schwartz agreed, adding "Normally, I come in with colds. It has made a difference for my students and me. They're not using as many tissues."

ActivePure technology is now featured in the O'Hare Hilton's "Enviro-Rooms". In an innovative experiment targeting travelers with allergies or asthma, the Hilton O'Hare has given extreme makeovers to two guestrooms to dramatically reduce the dust, molds and chemicals in the air.
The renovated rooms were outfitted with hardwood floors, non-vinyl wallpaper, all cotton bedding, wooden blinds, wooden furniture, chemical filters in the shower heads, fragrance-free toiletries, our air purifiers and air-quality monitors. Cleaning crews will also use products that are free of toxins such as ammonia and bleach.
If the renovated "Enviro-Rooms" prove popular with guests, the hotel will consider expanding the program to more than 300 rooms that are scheduled for renovation.

ActivePure(R) Technology Featured in Hilton Hotel
ActivePure technology is now featured in the O'Hare Hilton's "Enviro-Rooms". In an innovative experiment targeting travelers with allergies or asthma, the Hilton O'Hare has given extreme makeovers to two guestrooms to dramatically reduce the dust, molds and chemicals in the air.
The renovated rooms were outfitted with hardwood floors, non-vinyl wallpaper, all cotton bedding, wooden blinds, wooden furniture, chemical filters in the shower heads, fragrance-free toiletries, our air purifiers and air-quality monitors. Cleaning crews will also use products that are free of toxins such as ammonia and bleach.
If the renovated "Enviro-Rooms" prove popular with guests, the hotel will consider expanding the program to more than 300 rooms that are scheduled for renovation.

Activtek's Atlanta based distributor, activTek Health Solutions, which is the companies sole distributor to the EMS community, is proud to announce that after considerable time, effort and field testing, the ActivePure air purification technology is now available for order or retro-fit into the ambulances made by the three top companies, which are McCoy Miller, Margue and Premiere Ambulances.

The Brazil distributor for our manufacturer shared in the 2009 SMACNA Highlights of the Year Award, for its core product role in creating "the state-of-the-art, most modern HVAC system ever installed in Brazil".

They supplied over 600 various sized air purification units (dark square in picture above) for the newly constructed Latin American "hub" headquarters for Santander Bank-4th largest in the world-in Sao Paulo. As a result, they now have 3 other large banks in Latin America they are working with to supply our equipment for their facilities.

CDC Reports Long-Term Care Facilities
Suffer Influenza Outbreaks
Across the Nation

The CDC recently reported that "resident attack rates" from confirmed Influenza outbreaks at several LTCFs around the US were as high as 28%, but more amazing were the "staff attack rates" which were up to 40%!
The range of observed resident attack rates from prior studies had ranged from 20% to 30%, but had been as high as 70%.
In New York state, which conducts regular surveillance of outbreaks, reported that in the last 4 months of 2009, influenza outbreaks had increased approximately "tenfold", when compared with the average of the prior 4 years during the same period, from 5 to 50 outbreaks!
It was found that the Influenza virus is introduced into LTCF populations via infected staff members or visitors.
These outbreaks ended only after the initiation or reinforcement of recommended infection control practices.

Infectious Disease Control Technology

Jeffrey Klein, President of ENVIROTECHGroup, had this to say, "First, it must be stated that the spread of infectious disease continues to grow throughout the world, with new strains developing with frightening regularity, and seeming to spread around the globe with virtual impunity.
According to reporting by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there are approximately 126,000 hospitalizations annually for MRSA alone, resulting in over 19,000 deaths-a rate now greater than the number of annual deaths due to HIV/AIDS.
The CDC estimates that approximately 86% of these infections are 'Healthcare-Associated', meaning that the infections originated in healthcare facilities, with the remaining 14% of cases being classified as 'Community-Associated', meaning that they originated in facilities wherever people congregate, such as schools, offices, day care centers and locker rooms (access the "bulletin" on the website).
In view of this trend and current circumstances, we felt that it was time to develop and launch a separate website for our commercial air purification systems, whose core Space technology has been proven, through 2 different and independent University tests, to virtually (96% to 99.9%) eliminate mold, mildew, bacteria and viruses (go to the website to access the test reports).
We have identified and included separate sections covering 4 private sector industry-group target markets where the population is at greatest risk, beginning with all healthcare facilities, which include doctor's and dentist's offices, walk-in clinics, out-patient surgical centers and Assisted Living Facilities ('ALFs').
Our objective is to get the owners and managers of these facilities to our website, to first educate, so they understand and, more importantly 'believe', the scale of this serious problem. At the same time we are able introduce them to our commercial air purification technology application solutions, allowing them ready access to us, in order to request a customized proposal for their facility, to review and evaluate.
